The Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network
runs a Day Center at 34 Meigs Street which is the
heart of our program along with the gracious volunteers
and faith communities that provide the hosting for
guest families.
Here are some photos
from our Day Center Opening in April 2004
But, during each day, the families use the Day Center
as their base camp. This is where they receive professional
counseling from our Network
Director as well as a central facility to meet
the school bus for the children, receive mail, e-mail
friends & family, hunt for housing and jobs (online
& through many other listing resources).
Running this program, including the Network Director,
the Day Center and the transport van all require funding.
The program is significantly more efficient that some
other public housing, and also is one of very few
means to keep families TOGETHER and INTACT during
their period of housing crisis.
RAIHN needs your help. There are many ways in which
you can help. Please see our donations
page or call us at the Day Center or e-mail us.
Faithfully,
The Board & Volunteers of RAIHN
