Thank you to all who
joined us at the 3rd annual "Shop Til You Drop" evening
at Pittsford Plaza stores. It was an excellent
time and a great fundraiser for RAIHN. We'd like
to thank the stores and please continue to support them
throughout the year!
The following stores donated part of their profits
to RAIHN:
- Blueground Jewelers; contemporary
gallery specializing in unique sterling silver, 14K
gold, and platinum creations
.
- OneWorld Goods;
a Fair-trade Gift Store selling
quality handcrafted items from around the
world
- Snow Country;
the best selections and the best
names and a team that’s dedicated to customer
service
- The Lounge; the area’s best selection of
snowboards, equipment, accessories and
clothing
- Color me Mine; a “paint-it-yourself” ceramic
studio with over 400 different pieces to choose from.
- Hands On and
Beyond; a
unique store where children are encouraged to play
with the toys on
display
- Applebee's; Eatin’ Here is good for the
neighborhood (use
coupon from 4-9pm only)
Additionally, if you ate at
Applebee's, and
use the coupon,
they
donated 10% of your purchase to RAIHN. |

RAIHN has officially hired the Network Director!
We will be announcing this at a special "Open House" for
all the Social Service Admitting Agencies on April 7th.
RAIHN has also procured the passenger bus for the guests
as well as the beds the guests will be using at the
thirteen hosting congregations. A major training program
from national IHN is planned for March 16 (for Bethel CF
and 3rd Presby and all their volunteers). There will
also be a all-hands training session for all the hosting
and supporting coordinators (two-three per congregation)
on March 17th. |

January
2004,
RAIHN has
secured a Day Center facility. We will be using a nice
house at 34 Meigs Street as our Day Center. At the Day
Center, the guests will use this site as their "launch
pad" for career & housing support and counseling as
well as their central "home" for receiving mail, school
buss pick-up & drop-off. There will be a "grand
opening" of the Day Center on April 20th for all the
volunteers and interested people from the various
congregations |
June
2003,
We've
added another host faith community! We're more than 50%
of the way to having enough hosting faith communities to
start the RAIHN! Go to the "hosts" page to see all the faithful
people.
May 2003, At this month's
RAIHN general meeting on May 8th, Libby Krautsak is our
special guest speaker. Libby is the Executive Director

organization has been an active IHN group for over six
(6) years! So, Libby will have lots to share with us as
we grow the RAIHN network. See the
calendar for details. The meeting is at 7pm at New Life
Presbyterian Church (Monroe Avenue & Rosedale; East
on Monroe after the I-490 intersection). For more
information, contact
